How do I opt-out of the Health and Dental Plan?

To Opt out of the Health Plan go to www.wespeakstudent.com before the deadline date (October 6th for the 2011-2012 school year).

Why are many of the events 19+?

The Observatory is a licensed establishment that has strict rules and guidelines - we work with the license and regulations to provide a safe and entertaining venue for events. As our events can have as many as 300 attendees, it is often unfeasible to track all individuals and prevent underage drinking. If underage drinking happened, the Observatory could be closed down and there would be no events possible at all. While it often requires more security and staff, we do our best to provide as many all ages events as possible.

Is a Fitness Zone membership included with my tuition?

The Fitness Zone membership is not included with tuition or fees - while some colleges or universities chose this method and allow students to opt out, we prefer to keep our fees as low as possible and offer students the option to opt in to our facilities instead.

Am I able to submit concerns and feedback to the SA Board of Directors?

The Board of Directors welcomes feedback from all Algonquin students. To submit your feedback to the Board, please fill out a student feedback form. The form is available as a digital copy to be printed off or filled out electronically, or copies can be picked up from the SA Office in C-151. Please submit your completed form by either dropping it off at the SA Office, or by e-mailing studentsassociation@algonquincollege.com.
