Presented by Algonquin Commons Theatre, Trio Danceworks.

The Nutcracker is a classical ballet for the Christmas season.

The story follows a young girl, Clara, as she falls asleep at a Christmas party. She dreams of her nutcracker doll coming to life, and defending her from an army of rats. She visits the snow queen and the castle of the sugar plum fairy.

All our ballet students over the age 6 have the opportunity to perform. Our students appreciate the opportunity to participate in a professional-quality full-length ballet, and opportunity not available at other ballet studios. Learn more about our ballet program here.

The Linda Jamieson School of Dance staged annual productions of this ballet for the last 25 years. The tradition now continues under Trio Danceworks, with the same teachers, student culture, choreography, set and costumes that create the performance that Ottawa has grown to love.

Coat Check will be provided for this event. There is a $2.00 cash fee per checked item. Large bags (such as backpacks, large purses, and gym bags) are not permitted into the venue.

Parking

Paid parking is in effect at all times. Red Parking Lot 8 is the closest possible lot to our venue. Parking is a $6.00 flat rate on weekends and after 5:00pm on weekdays in Lots 8, 9, 10 and 12. See Algonquin College Parking Services for the parking map.
