Important Causes
This page will showcase some of the causes that have been brought to the attention of the Students' Association. We're sharing them with Algonquin students so that you can learn more and get involved!
RELAY FOR LIFE (CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY)
The Students' Association is excited to announce that we will be hosting Relay For Life for the first time ever at Algonquin this year!
Relay for Life is a fun, interactive, and poignant 12-hour 10-person team relay event in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. We believe it is a dynamic way for the Algonquin community to demonstrate their commitment to take action, fight back, and cure cancer in our lifetime
To help kick-off our campaign we are looking to collect and share success stories from the Algonquin community from anyone who has won their battle with cancer. We believe that spreading their message of hope is the best resource to inspire action and show everyone that the fight can be won. Their personal stories will remind us all that we must all take action, and fight to make a difference.
If you are interested in sharing your story we would love to hear from you! Please send an e-mail to studentsassociation@algonquincollege.com

Ottawa Food Bank + Perth Food Bank
The Algonquin Students' Association hosted a food drive this Halloween in support of the Ottawa and Perth food banks, and we were amazed by the great student participation! You brought in 1600 items, and we matched that with $400 in donations.
