Doug Anton - Head Coach

Doug has been involved with the Algonquin Men's Volleyball Program for the past five years as a coach, the 2011-12 season marks his third year as the progam's Head Coach.  He brings over twenty years of coaching experience at various levels from high school to youth club teams both in his home province of Alberta and Ontario.  Doug also brings a vast amount of playing experience to the program.  From 1985 to 1990 he plated post-secondary volleyball at the University of Alberta and was also a member of Canada's Junior National Team in 1986.  In 1991-92 Doug played professionally in Swizerland.

Outside of Algonquin, Doug has been the lead resource developer for volleyball's National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) for the past eight years and is currently working as a sport consultant with Volleyball Canada as their Youth Development Coordinator.

Kelan Stone - Assistant Coach

Kelan has been involved with The Algonquin Thunder Men's Volleyball Program since 2005. As a player in the program, Kelan has medaled at the Provincial and/or National level every season for the duration of his playing career. Following his last year as a player, Kelan immediately began coaching with the Algonquin Thunder and has been involved as a coach for the past 3 years. Kelan has been coached by, as well as coached with a variety of championship winning coaches. This has assisted him in his process of completing of his level 2 coaching certification.

Ryley Boldon - Assistant Coach

This is Ryley's first year involved with the Algonquin Men's Volleyball Program.  From 2005-2010, he played CIS volleyball for the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds.  Ryley has represented New Brunswick at the Canada Summer Games twice, in 2005 for Indoor Volleyball and in 2009 for Beach Volleyball.  He is the co-founder of Capital City Volleyball Camps in Fredericton.  Ryley graduated as an Academic All-Canadian and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management from the University of New Brunswick.
