Words of encouragement for Algonquin College students as they start the Winter Term and a reminder that nominations for the next SA Board of Directors are open until January 22.

Hi Wolves,
Welcome to a brand-new year, and a brand-new semester! I hope you had a chance to rest and recharge over the holiday break and are feeling ready for the term ahead. Whether you’re returning to campus or starting fresh at Algonquin, we’re so glad to have you in our community!
The start of a new semester often brings a mix of excitement and nerves, and that’s completely normal. This is a great time to set goals, build new routines, and remind yourself that you don’t have to do everything at once. Take things step by step. Just know that support is always available when you need it.
As we move into the term, I also want to highlight Mental Health Awareness Week, coming up soon. It’s an important opportunity to focus on well-being, reduce stigma, and remind one another that mental health matters every day. The Students’ Association will be sharing resources and activities throughout the week, so keep an eye on our channels for ways to get involved and stay supported.
I also want to remind you that the nominations to become a board member for the Students’ Association Board of Directors are still open until January 22! This is a great opportunity to be directly involved with the student experience on campus and develop leadership your leadership skills during your time at the college.
Here’s to new beginnings, fresh opportunities, and a strong start to the semester. We’re excited to take on this term together and we’re always here for you.
Warm regards,
Vanshika,
President, Students’ Association
