Juno Award–winning comedian Ivan Decker is returning with a brand-new hour of sharp, sophisticated observational comedy with his Middle Child Tour, coming to Algonquin Commons Theatre in Ottawa on Friday, November 27, 2026. Fresh off his 2025 JUNO Award nomination for Comedy Album of the Year, Decker turns his signature wit toward the absurdities of modern adulthood — from navigating parenthood and the rising cost of living to travel, relationships, and everything in between.

Smart, clean, and effortlessly funny, Middle Child finds humour in the everyday challenges of figuring out how to live, love, and get where you’re going. With his polished delivery and keen eye for the seemingly ordinary moments that make life ridiculous, Decker delivers a thoroughly entertaining show for audiences of all ages.

The Middle Child Tour comes to Algonquin Commons Theatre in Ottawa on November 27, following stops in Montréal and Toronto, before continuing to Hamilton and wrapping up in Halifax.

Born in Ladner, BC (a suburb of Vancouver), Ivan Decker continues to achieve success as a writer, stand-up comedian, and actor known for his sharp, polished, and multi-layered observational comedy.  He has toured Canada twice as a featured performer alongside Rick Mercer on the Just For Laughs Canadian Comedy Tour to rave reviews.  After being named “A Comic to Watch” at the New York Comedy Festival, Netflix released his comedy special Underwater Scissors to rave reviews. Decker made his American television debut on Conan, and his comedy album I Wanted to Be a Dinosaur went on to win the JUNO Award for Comedy Album of the Year.

He can also be seen and heard on the popular CBC Radio program The Debaters. His newest special, Popcorn, was released by 800 Pound Gorilla Media and earned Decker another JUNO nomination for Comedy Album of the Year in 2025. With his distinctive combination of intelligent observations, relatable storytelling and precise comedic timing, Decker has established himself as one of Canada’s standout comedy voices.
