About Jacob

Jacob is a passionate student leader who believes community starts with conversation. Inspired by his experiences getting involved within his program, he joined the Board to connect with students across campus, listen to their concerns and help amplify their voices. Known among friends for being straightforward and accountable, Jacob values honesty, approachability and creating meaningful connections with the people around him.

A proud local, Jacob enjoys exploring the city’s bike paths, and champions the local events and community spaces that often go overlooked. On campus, you’ll usually find him at the Athletics and Recreation Complex, studying in the Corner Lounge, or taking advantage of the many events around campus. Outside of academics, he’s an avid reader well on his way to hitting hisambitious goal of reading 150 books this year, and a dedicated Ottawa Senators fan still hoping for a Stanley Cup win.

When he’s not at the ARC, Jacob can often be found with a coffee in hand discussing The Lord of the Rings, recommending books or listening to students about their campus experience. He wants students to know he’s always open to a conversation — headphones or not.
