Hi Wolves!
November is here, and we’re officially into the second half of the Fall term! I hope you have had a chance to catch your breath after mid-terms and that the break was restful. As we get back into our routines, take a moment to recognize how far we’ve come so far this term. Whether you’re still at the start of a new program, or deep into the depths of one, it’s something to be proud of!
Now we turn our sights on what lies ahead for the rest of this term. Assignments, projects, and eventually final exams will start to take up more of our attention, and balancing school with work, friends, and everything else that life throws at us can become challenging. My advice is to take things one step at a time, plan out the next two months, and focus on what’s immediately ahead of you. Finding a routine that works for you and setting realistic goals will make the rest of the Fall term breeze by.
And don’t forget to take care of yourself too. Self-care is an important part of keeping up with your studies. Don’t just bury your head in your books, but also make some time for your friends and those around you. There are tons of fun events around campus and around the city to go enjoy. Your college experience is about more than simply getting through assignments and exams.
As we head into the second half of this term, remember that you don’t have to have everything figured out, and that you’re not alone. We’re all working towards our own goals, dealing with our own challenges, and finding our way forward, but we’re all doing it together. Be patient with yourself, support those around you, and ask when you need help. We’ve got this!
Take care,
Jacob,
President, Students’ Association
