Hello Wolves!
Time moves quickly this time of year. The excitement of starting a new term has settled, routines are more familiar, and suddenly we realize we’re already entering the second half of the semester. July is a good reminder to pause for a second and recognize everything you’ve already accomplished.
With Convocation now behind us, I want to take a moment to reflect on all the graduates we celebrated over the past month. Seeing students cross the stage is one of the clearest reminders of the growth, perseverance, and mutual support that this community is all about. To our graduates: congratulations again and thank you for leaving your mark on our campus community.
Summer has officially started, and as we push into the second half of this term, motivation sometimes starts to dip just as deadlines begin to pile up. If that’s where you’re at, you’re not alone. The second half of a semester isn’t about perfection, it’s about finding your pace, staying connected, and moving forward one step at a time.
Also don’t forget to take some time to check in with yourself outside of academics. Spend time with friends, get involved in campus life, take advantage of events and spaces that help you recharge, and enjoy some of what summer has to offer. Student life isn’t only about getting through your to-do list, it’s also about the experiences, friends, and connections you build along the way.
Make sure to:
- Stay Connected: Spend time with Friends and lean on your peers.
- Recharge: Take advantage of our campus spaces and SA services designed to help you all along the way.
- Get Involved: Keep an eye out for upcoming summer campus events to break up your daily routine.
No matter where you’re at this month, I hope you take a moment to recognize your progress. There’s still a lot of semester ahead, and I’m excited to see what we accomplish together.
Let’s make the second half of the term a good one.
Wishing you a great month ahead,
Jacob,
President, Students’ Association
