A Message from the SA President: Welcome to Spring Term
SA President, Jacob Stewart, introduces himself and welcomes you to the new spring term.

Hello Wolves!
Every term starts with a quiet kind of courage. You show up, maybe not knowing anyone yet and maybe carrying more than people realize, but still, you are here. And that matters more than you know. Welcome to the new term, and for many of you, welcome to Algonquin College! It’s great to have you here for this exciting journey. A new season and a new set of classes may bring some uncertainty, but it also brings a lot of new opportunities to learn, grow, and connect with new people.
My name is Jacob, I’m a mechanical engineering technology student and I’m also honoured and excited to serve as your Students’ Association President this year! I look forward to connecting and working with our amazing student community.
The spring term has its own unique rhythm to it. It can feel fast-paced, but it is a great opportunity to explore campus, check out our events and services, and make the most of the nice weather. I also encourage you to get out and explore the city as well! It’s important to balance your time on campus and focus on your studies with rest and social experiences. Rest is not a reward for finishing your work. It’s an integral part of doing your work well.
The Students’ Association isn’t just a set of services. We are a community, and we belong to you. Come find us, tell us what’s working and what isn’t. Whether it’s campus events and activities, student services, access to study spaces, or fitness sessions at the ARC, we’re here to support you in all parts of your student experience here at the college. Please don’t hesitate to explore what’s around and to reach out if you ever need anything.
As we get started, remember that every new beginning takes time. Be patient with yourself, stay curious, and go one step at a time. We’re excited to have you as part of the community, and to be a part of your journey. Welcome to the Pack!
Wishing you a great month ahead,
Jacob,
President, Students’ Association
