Open To:
Algonquin College Students (all ages)

This event is brought to you by AC Hub, and your Students' Association.

Join us in the student commons to take part in a fusion of Swedish and Indian culture!

Practice some Fika, a Swedish tradition that includes getting cozy, drinking something warm, and eating some sweets. We’ll have coffee, tea, and cake ready to go. While you’re relaxing, take some time to colour some mandalas, a traditional form of Hindu and Buddhist art. There will also be an opportunity to have some Henna drawn on your hands.

Once you’re suffciently warmed, head outside to the outdoor seating area to experience a Quinzhee and watch some live ice sculpting. A quinzhee is a snow shelter hollowed out of a large loose pile of snow.

Why not practice some Fika inside the Quinzhee!
