In celebration of Indigenous History Month, your Algonquin Students’ Association and the Mamidosewin Centre invite all students to this hands-on Indigenous Craft Workshop to make medicine pouches. Spend the afternoon crafting while listening to Traditional Medicine Teachings in Anishinàbemowin – the Algonquin Language.

This workshop will be held in the AC Hub and led by Stephanie Tenasco and Jenny Tenasco of Kitigan Zibi. All materials will be provided (leather, thread, beads, fabric scissors, etc.).

All Algonquin College students are welcome, regardless of identity, skill, or awareness level! Registration is required to secure your spot.

About the Mamidosewin Centre: The Mamidosewin Centre provides a variety of cultural programs and services to Indigenous learners attending Algonquin College and works to empower and support Indigenous students at Algonquin College into the next phase of their lives in a way that is respectful and reflective of Indigenous cultures.
