The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day, is a time to remember the lives of survivors and those affected by the legacy of residential schools. It was inspired by Phyllis Webstad, who had her favourite orange shirt taken from her on her first day at a residential school when she was six. It’s an opportunity for meaningful discussion and reflection to affirm the lives of survivors and those affected. Join the ReconciliACTION pledge and commit to specific acts of reconciliation. Let’s create a ‘wall of commitment’ to honour this important day.
